A standard binder page is designed for a card in a soft sleeve. A top loader binder is designed for a card that is already inside a rigid plastic top loader. That one difference changes how the pages are built, how much the binder holds and who it is for.
What is a top loader?
A top loader is a rigid PVC-free holder that a sleeved card slides into from the top. It stops bending and protects corners, which is why collectors use them for chase cards, alternate arts, vintage holos and anything on its way to grading. The downside is that top loaders are bulky and usually end up stacked in a box, where you cannot see them.
What a top loader binder does differently
Top loader binder pages have larger, deeper pockets sized for the top loader itself. The Oasis Binders Collector's Series Top Loader binder comes in two formats:
- 4 pocket: 128 top-loaded cards, a compact showcase for your best cards.
- 9 pocket: 216 top-loaded cards, for collectors who keep a full set or a large trade stock in top loaders.
The pages are compatible with Vault X and Palms Off inserts, and the binder has the same water-resistant PU leather cover and zip closure as our standard binders, so the whole thing stays closed and dust-free in a bag.

Standard binder or top loader binder?
Keep your set builds, bulk holos and everyday collection in a 9 or 12 pocket binder, where sleeved cards sit flat and the binder stays slim. Move your most valuable cards into top loaders and give them a top loader binder of their own. Many of our customers run both: a 12 pocket for the set and a 4 pocket top loader binder for the cards that would hurt to lose.
